I’ve been dancing to this playlist on Spotify while creating the first painting in my new collection, Glorious (coming in 2025). My favourites are Merry Christmas, Christmas in New York and This Christmas, so check them out to hear what inspires my joy while painting.

SONGS drive Dionne’s creative process. In the course of a painting session Dionne will listen to in excess of 50 tracks on Spotify. Within all that music there are certain songs that bring her inspiration. She sees the colours of the notes popping in her head. A rhythm lifts Dionne up which then sweeps down her arm to her brush. A song may influence the placement that pop of red. A lyric may make her laugh or resonate with her heart. Sometimes a song will even inspire a whole collection. Music and Dionne’s art are indelibly entwined.
